I have recently discovered what the true meaning of friendship is. I have met someone this year that surpasses anything that I have ever experienced. He has taught me so many things in a short time that makes it impossible for me to express the level of gratiutde and respect that I feel for him.
I met my friend in a technical forum approximately 4-5 months ago. I asked a question about my dating site and he responded promptly and thoroughly. That is always his style!
After several months of corresponding via email concerning technical matters, I decided that due to my lack of knowledge and understanding it was better to chat through instant messaging. This is where our deep and lasting friendship really began.
My friend is a Search Engine Optimizer. He spends countless hours optimizing a site. It can take a few hundred hours to truly optimize one and for that he is paid a pittance. He does the work with complete dedication and expertise.
Something about me compelled him to continue emailing me. He said he felt my sense of urgency to succeed and he knew that feeling. His sincerity was genuine and his spirit kind and gentle. I had so many questions about my site and needed so much assistance that his advice and efforts have been invaluable and immeasureable..
He has spent countless free hours daily guiding and assisting me with helping my site to succeed. He always encourages and pushes me gently to stay focused. He has assured me that we are a team and we will be successful. He takes my success personally and seriously. He does so much work for me by contacting people senior to him for advice and posting various items.
He strives for excellence and will not lot me slack or become unfocused. He has told me that there is no room for failure and I believe that as well!
My friend has many reasons to be bitter and selfless. You see my friend is paralyzed from a severely negligent doctor who failed to read a report before doing surgery. A report that recommended that he do a chest MRI before surgery. A report that if read correctly could have saved him from paralysis . My friend walked into the hospital a healthy and hopeful young man for a seeminlgy simple surgery.
I think about him all the time and try to find ways that I can give back to him for all that he has done for me and in part for what he has and still goes through daily. He makes me realize how fortunate that I really am even when I feel down or discouraged. I also realize how rapidly our lives can change in an instant.
All that I can really do for him at this time is to simply say Thank You Friend!!! You are the best!!
