You should know that there are really only three basic steps to lose weight naturally: eat less, change your eating habits, and exercise. The question is how exactly to start making these changes.

1) Eat Less. Most of us feel that this is easier said than done. It can be easier than you think however. Eat from a smaller plate and trick your brain into thinking you’re getting more food.

2) Change your eating habits. Begin with a small change and move on from there. Try to pick something easy to begin with. Maybe you’re not that fond of chips and wouldn’t mind too much if you stop including them in your daily diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Make brown rice with olive oil and sea salt for seasoning. You’ll be amazed at how much better it tastes, and you’ll be cutting out a lot of salt, preservatives, calories, and chemicals in the process.

Cutting out the color white from your diet is a big help as well. In other words, avoid white bread, white rice, bleached wheat products, donuts.

3) Exercise. You don’t have to go crazy by working out for hours a day to begin to see results from exercising. Start where you and lose weight naturally.

Great advice! I totally agree....it's not about "cutting carbs" it's about eating the right kind of carbs. Those insane diets and diet pills drive me crazy because you don't need them! Like you said, by adjusting the amount you're eating and re-evaluating the types of food you eat, you'll naturally lose weight. You also don't really have to go to the gym to exercise...I put on my favorite dance music and dance around my house for 30 minutes- I swear I get more of a workout than when I'm on the treadmill. Start with 2-3 times a week and work your way up to 4-5 times a week. Anything is better than nothing, right?

I know you know that dark chocolate is good for you...but in moderation...I think chocolate is a huge necessity for all women....mmmmmmm...

Chocolate and sweets are my weaknesses as well:) I love them...
Though now I have the same problem and I gained some weight this winter, and now I need to lose it...

thank you as well..hunkered down so to speak in the winter adds the weight so fast...I'm at WW right now and really trying..chocolate seems to be my weakness along w/ cheese and wine :)

Yeah it is really hard especially when we're too busy and cant find time to go to the gym.
