I am off to Miami this weekend for my son's wedding. There has been family issues all the way till now, as well as I am attending with my new husband, with not one but two ex's attending!! ( My second ex husband was invited by my son which I thought was very nice) and of course my older son's jerk of a father!! So wish me luck!
Bride and Groom had an awesome honeymoon....haven't had a chance to talk to them at length, being doctors, they literally got back and straight back to work!
They met in medical school, and have been together now for 7 years...I think it's good they are both in the same profession in some ways, but they see each other so rarely with their schedules.
I am glad you feel this way. 2 of my children are doctors, with the third now my daughter in law, and they give us so much of their youth with studying and getting through all the training. My daughter will be 30 next year, and is just now finishing her training, making very little money while training, and getting into so much debt from her student loans! A lot of people see doctors as rich, and feel jealous of them, when first of all they give up a lot of their life to get to where they are today, and have huge loans to pay off before they even start making money! Each one of them have a $250,000 loan debt.
Then they have to love what they do, they work some crazy hours. My daughter in law delivers babies, doing OBGyn, and sometimes delivers 20 in one night! She calls me exhausted.
I have great respect for doctors, not just because they are my children, but that they give so much.
