There is a new post on Allwomenstalk.com - I am 20 and Fabulous: Fashion Finds for 20-something Year-Olds. There are really some nice fashion ideas, but why just 20-something? Can be there such an age discrimination? Why fashion for 20-s,30-s, 40-s, 50-s etc? I think that fashion is for any age and you can wear such blouse in your forties and still look fabulous! So Ladies, what do you think? Does age matter in fashion?
Well...i don't mind stepping up and saying that I love fashion altho it does not show in my photo...I am not in my 20's and really my mind does not equate what my age does...I am not working as I once did in a teaching situation and all my suits except for a few black ones for that special time are gone...I still like to look as good as I can whether I am in downtown Toronto or hiking in our cabin area in the mountains and sitting outside w/ a fire watching the stars...from Eddie Bauer to Coach purses..I really have searched the internet to see what the newest is for spring...I always am mindful of my age...in respect of wearing minis...or something really not appropriate...there is a limit I think...w/ accessories..you can wearalmost any shoe, boot, jewelery or hats which I personally love...cheers...

I think there can be a "teenage fashion", it really differs, but if you like mini and if it suits you- you can wear it and in your 30-s, and in your 50-s:) The main is about your inner feeling:)
I think sometimes age is really matter, in different ages our tastes are different. But if you're not twenty and want to wear something that is proposed for 20, I think you can wear it without any doubts:) Everyone should wear clothes that he likes no matter if it is for you or no.
I'd have to say that fashion isnt just for the 20 year olds. Okay, yes Im 27 years old but ive seen plenty of different age groups that look fabulous! My one co-worker is in her early 50's and looks better then I do most days. :o) Personally I dont think any age group looks good in the itty bitty clothing but it all depends on each persons individual style.
This makes me feel great girls..so I am out the door this spring to find what suits me...I hear yellow will be strong??..thank you for your input..it will help me...Hugs..Bobbie
hi Helen! I just thought about this a few weeks ago when i was looking for a going out dress. I think I *could* have worn some of the shorter dresses but personally I find them very vulgar now. I wouldn't have thought twice about them in my 20's but now I've traveled lot, married with three kids and I'm in a different place, I want to look nice but feel no need to show what I've got. I am as shocked as anyone at these thoughts because I was always very much a club goer and wearing skimpy clothes.
I think that's all in our minds - or you allow yourself to be in fashion, or you don't! So can be fashionable in your 50s, and be not in your 20s! All depends on you!
I understand you... When I was younger I loved skimpy clothes, I wore very short skirts everywhere when it was possible. And now I prefer to look good but not to show everything I have, as you said:)
